  • Assm. Ramos chairs the Budget Subcommittee on Public Safety and sits on the Select Committee on Police Reform, which are surprising leadership roles for a legislator who is endorsed by California Police Chiefs Association, and several local police organizations. When he was asked to take a position on criminal justice reform legislation, he failed to cast a vote on at least half of the bills evaluated for this scorecard.
  • As Chair of the Select Committee on Youth Homelessness in San Bernardino County, Assm. Ramos has supported some critical housing legislation this session. However, he failed to vote on SB567 to close loopholes for the widely abused no-fault just cause evictions in the state.
